Beautiful You in Bleach Project Sheet

Stampin' Up! Aqua Painters are so versatile.  Here are just a few uses:
... Fill them with water and use with watercolor pencils or dip in ink for watercolor effect
... Fill them with alcohol and add drops of re-inker to paint color directly
... Fill them with bleach which changes the color of your cardstock. 
   This is the technique used for today's Project Sheet.

Supplies:
  • Stamp Sets Beautiful You (Wood #143004; Clear #143637)
  • Cardstock – Very Vanilla #101650; Basic Black #121045; Sahara Sand #121043; Basic Gray #121044
  • Stamp Pads – Basic Black Archival #140931
  • Misc. – Stampin’ Emboss Powder Clear #109130, Heat Tool #129053, Aqua Painter #103954; *bleach
Measurements:
  • Very Vanilla 8½ x 5½; 2¼ x ½
  • Basic Black 4¾ x 3½; 3-1/8 x 2-3/8
  • Sahara Sand 3¾ x 3
  • Basic Gray 3 x 2¼
Instructions:
  1. Stamp girl on Basic Gray cardstock using black archival ink.
  2. Emboss with clear powder.
  3. Fill an aqua painter with bleach; color inside the embossed image (girl). (*To protect your aqua painter empty the bleach out and rinse under warm water)
  4. On the small Very Vanilla strip, stamp 'Celebrate' using archival black ink and cut a V at the end.
  5. Stamp 'In Style' on lower right side of Very Vanilla card base using black archival ink.
  6. Adhere all layers as shown in picture.

Timeless Tags Project Sheet + SAB Sneak Peek

Have you seen the 'That's the Tag' stamp set and 'Timeless Tags' coordinating framelits on page 23 of the Occasions catalog?  WOW!!  I skimmed over the framelits when I first saw the page, but there is so much you can do with them. These are also available as a bundle which saves you money!!  Here is one example of using the framelits on a card. There is also a sneak peek of a NEW Sale-a-Bration product available Feb. 21st. Can you spot it?

That’s the Tag & Timeless Tags

  • Cardstock and Paper: Whisper White (100730), 2016-2018 In Color Designer Series Paper Stack (141408), Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper (135315), and 6” x 6” Glimmer Paper Assortment Pack (Free Sale-A-Bration item 143831)
  • Stampin’ Pad: Sweet Sugarplum (141395)
  • Miscellaneous: Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine (143263), Magnetic Platform (130658), Timeless Tags Thinlits Dies (142755 or bundled with stamp set 144725), Petal Burst Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (141493), Succulent Garden 3/8” Ribbon Combo Pack (142781), 2016-2018 In Color Enamel Shapes (141410), Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430)
Measurements:
  • Whisper White card base: 4-1/4” x 11”, scored at 5-1/2” then folded plus a piece 2-1/2” x 5-1/2” and 1/2” x 3”
  • Sweet Sugarplum and Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper each 2-1/4” x 2-3/4” plus two strips 1/4” x 5-1/2” of each, Sweet Sugarplum sheet from the 2016-2018 In Color Designer Series Paper Stack two strips 1/4” x 5-1/2”
  • Sweet Sugarplum ribbon: 7”
Instructions:

  1. Using the flower die from Timeless Tags, die cut Sweet Sugarplum Glimmer Paper then using oval tag die, die cut Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper. Dab dots of Multipurpose Glue on the back of flower piece and adhere to oval making sure that tag hole is at the top. Slip under a flat heavy book/object to keep flat and let dry.
  2. Using the Petal Burst Textured Impressions Embossing Folder emboss the large Whisper White cardstock piece.
  3. Using SNAIL, adhere the embossed piece to the card front, centering it
  4. Take the 6 different narrow strips of paper and adhere to the card front on the sides of the embossed center piece being sure to overlap each strip to fit.
  5. Stamp the sentiment on the small Whisper White piece and trim ends to create a banner with the Paper Snips. Stick two enamel shapes to sides of sentiment.
  6. Cut a piece of ribbon about 1-1/2” and thread through tag hole. Adhere to back of tag with SNAIL then cover with small piece of household tape.
  7. Tie remaining ribbon into a small, tight bow and trim ends.
  8. Affix Dimensionals to the tag and adhere to the card front leaving room for the ribbon in the next step.
  9. Using SNAIL adhere the end of ribbon that is in the tag to the card front. You just want it tight from the tag and straight up.
  10. Using Mini Glue Dots, adhere ribbon so that it covers the top of the ribbon that you just adhered in the prior step.
  11. Using Dimensionals, adhere sentiment to card front.
